Wow I was suprised to fing the engine so clean. There was a leak out of the primary cover but that could be fixed.

We inflated the tires which had been setting for over eight years and to our suprise they stayed inflated.

This is the original tank. The Sporty was built at a time when AMF (Voit) owned Harley Davidson.

Aunt Joan was right. She knew with a little searching through the ceiling garage storage area the parts could be found.

The Sporty went into neutral and rolled right up that ramp. I do think Eugene and Sheri could have picked it up carried into the truck.

The question was where to begin. Sheri took the handle bars. Tara took the pipes and Melody took the Primary cover. We worked on a weekend and made the parts sparkle.

Tara is the best chrome cleaner any detailer can find. These pipes were filthy and requred lots of polishing. Tara made them sparkle.

Melody took on the challange of cleaning the primary cover. Melody managed to get it clean. The problem was having to put it back on the Sporty. It took Sheri lots of time and patients to make it happen.

The Handle Bars

Sheri chose to replace the handle bars Uncle Jack had bought new ones and they were waiting to be put on. Although new these are old parts and Sheri spent time making them shine.
